M5Stack HX711 Weight I2C Unit for Load-Cell Systems

The M5Stack Weight I2C Unit combines an STM32F030F4P6 controller with an HX711 24-bit ADC to connect strain-gauge load cells to an I2C host. Instead of dedicating host timing to the HX711 interface, the unit handles local acquisition and exposes weighing data through I2C at address 0x26.

This architecture is useful for compact scales, material monitoring, logistics fixtures, laboratory measurement setups, and multi-point weighing systems. Multiple devices can share an I2C bus when the complete address plan and electrical bus limits are managed correctly.

Convert Load-Cell Signals with a 24-Bit ADC

The HX711 is designed for small differential signals from bridge-type load cells. The 24-bit conversion path provides fine digital resolution, but final weighing accuracy depends on the load cell, excitation stability, mechanical structure, calibration mass, temperature drift, vibration, creep, wiring, and installation geometry.

Calibrate the Complete Mechanical Assembly

Zero the assembled system after the load cell, platform, fixtures, and cabling are installed. Use one or more known reference masses across the expected working range, then verify repeatability during loading and unloading. A high ADC bit depth does not by itself guarantee high absolute accuracy.

I2C Address 0x26 for Host Integration

The unit communicates at I2C address 0x26. Before adding multiple sensors, check address conflicts, bus pull-ups, cable length, capacitance, and power distribution. I2C is intended for local embedded connections; longer installations may require a different physical-layer strategy.

Build for Stable Measurements

Mount the load cell according to its mechanical requirements, prevent side loads and binding, isolate vibration where needed, and allow the structure to settle before reading. For batching, inventory, or process control, define overload limits and periodically verify calibration.

The package includes the Weight-I2C Unit, a 20cm Grove cable, and a VH3.96-4P connector. Technical setup details are available in the M5Stack Weight-I2C documentation.

How can I confirm product compatibility?

Check the product specifications, operating voltage, communication interface, dimensions, connector type, and software requirements before ordering. Compatibility may also depend on your controller, operating system, development framework, library version, and project wiring.

If you are unsure, contact us before purchasing and include your controller model, intended application, power source, and any other hardware you plan to use. We will help you identify the most suitable option, but we cannot guarantee that every product will work with every platform or project.

Does the product come with a warranty?

Warranty coverage may vary by product and manufacturer. If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or appears to have a manufacturing defect, contact us as soon as possible with your order number, product model, and clear photos or videos of the issue.

Our team will review the information and provide the appropriate next step according to the applicable product and after-sales policy. Damage caused by incorrect wiring, unsuitable voltage, unauthorized modification, soldering, misuse, or operation outside the documented specifications may not be covered.

How long does shipping take?

LogicBoundless provides worldwide shipping, with primary service coverage across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Orders are generally fulfilled from Shenzhen, China, and tracking information is provided after dispatch.

Processing and delivery times depend on product availability, destination, customs clearance, and the selected shipping service. Please review the Shipping Information page for the latest estimated delivery times and shipping conditions.

What is your return policy?

Eligible products may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Returned items must be unused, unsoldered, unmodified, and kept in their original condition with all packaging, cables, accessories, manuals, and included components.

Please contact support@logicboundless.com before sending anything back. Returns made without prior approval may not be accepted. Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable unless the return is caused by a verified product defect or fulfillment error.

Can you help if I have a technical problem?

Yes. LogicBoundless provides practical technical guidance for product setup, wiring, power, communication, code, and configuration issues.

To help us understand the problem efficiently, please provide your controller model, wiring photos, power source, code, library or firmware versions, expected behavior, and complete error messages. We cannot promise that every component will work in every system, but we will help you identify the likely cause and the next practical troubleshooting step.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. We will try to assist before the order enters processing or is handed to the shipping carrier.

Once an order has been packed or dispatched, it may no longer be possible to change the products, delivery address, or shipping method. In that case, the standard return process may apply after delivery.
