Key Features

  • 40-hole solderable prototyping area
  • HY2.0-4P Grove connection
  • Compact M5Stack Unit form factor
  • Two LEGO-compatible mounting holes
  • Suitable for custom interface circuits

The M5Stack Mini Proto Unit provides a compact 40-hole solderable board for custom sensor interfaces, signal conditioning, connector adaptation, level conversion, protection circuits, and one-off electronics prototypes. The HY2.0-4P Grove connection brings the selected host port’s power and signal pins into the Unit form factor, while two LEGO-compatible holes support mechanical integration. The board does not automatically add regulation, isolation, level shifting, current limiting, or protection; those functions must be designed and tested by the developer.

Mini Proto Unit: Core Functions and Control

Build on a 40-Hole Solderable Area

The perfboard provides space for through-hole components, small modules, passive networks, connectors, and point-to-point wiring.

Break Out Grove Power and Signals

The Grove connection exposes the selected host port, but exact voltage and GPIO mapping depend on the controller and port.

Mount Compact Custom Circuits

Two LEGO-compatible holes support fixtures and educational assemblies in the standard Unit footprint.

Mini Proto Unit Applications

  • Custom Grove sensor interfaces
  • Level shifting and signal conditioning
  • Connector and pinout adaptation
  • Filters, pull-ups, and protection circuits
  • Educational soldering projects

How to Integrate the Mini Proto Unit

  1. Identify the exact host port, voltage, GPIO mapping, current limit, and signal direction.
  2. Draw the schematic and layout, including power protection, decoupling, and connector orientation.
  3. Assemble low-profile components first and inspect every solder joint.
  4. Check continuity, shorts, polarity, and resistance to ground with the host disconnected.
  5. Use a current-limited supply to verify every rail before connecting the controller.

Mini Proto Unit Deployment Notes

  • Example pin mappings for one M5Core family do not apply to every host.
  • No regulation, isolation, level conversion, or overcurrent protection is included automatically.
  • Exposed solder joints require spacing, insulation, and a suitable enclosure.
  • Current capacity and heat dissipation depend on the complete custom design.
  • Disconnect power before soldering or rewiring.

How can I confirm product compatibility?

Check the product specifications, operating voltage, communication interface, dimensions, connector type, and software requirements before ordering. Compatibility may also depend on your controller, operating system, development framework, library version, and project wiring.

If you are unsure, contact us before purchasing and include your controller model, intended application, power source, and any other hardware you plan to use. We will help you identify the most suitable option, but we cannot guarantee that every product will work with every platform or project.

Does the product come with a warranty?

Warranty coverage may vary by product and manufacturer. If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or appears to have a manufacturing defect, contact us as soon as possible with your order number, product model, and clear photos or videos of the issue.

Our team will review the information and provide the appropriate next step according to the applicable product and after-sales policy. Damage caused by incorrect wiring, unsuitable voltage, unauthorized modification, soldering, misuse, or operation outside the documented specifications may not be covered.

How long does shipping take?

LogicBoundless provides worldwide shipping, with primary service coverage across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Orders are generally fulfilled from Shenzhen, China, and tracking information is provided after dispatch.

Processing and delivery times depend on product availability, destination, customs clearance, and the selected shipping service. Please review the Shipping Information page for the latest estimated delivery times and shipping conditions.

What is your return policy?

Eligible products may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Returned items must be unused, unsoldered, unmodified, and kept in their original condition with all packaging, cables, accessories, manuals, and included components.

Please contact support@logicboundless.com before sending anything back. Returns made without prior approval may not be accepted. Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable unless the return is caused by a verified product defect or fulfillment error.

Can you help if I have a technical problem?

Yes. LogicBoundless provides practical technical guidance for product setup, wiring, power, communication, code, and configuration issues.

To help us understand the problem efficiently, please provide your controller model, wiring photos, power source, code, library or firmware versions, expected behavior, and complete error messages. We cannot promise that every component will work in every system, but we will help you identify the likely cause and the next practical troubleshooting step.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. We will try to assist before the order enters processing or is handed to the shipping carrier.

Once an order has been packed or dispatched, it may no longer be possible to change the products, delivery address, or shipping method. In that case, the standard return process may apply after delivery.
